Clayton is an accomplished graphic designer, carpenter, and fabricator. He provides daily operational support to all aspects of the firm's work in addition to providing on-site management and property maintenance.

Eric has over twenty years of project management experience in construction, scientific research, and event promotion. As a builder, his interests range from historic preservation to modern architecture, and he has an extensive background in custom carpentry/design/build, new construction, and architectural restoration and renovation in commercial and residential settings. He has lived in Lawrence since 1997, and currently serves on the Lawrence/Douglas County Planning Commission.

Scott has over two decades of experience in the design and construction industry as a builder, consultant, and architect, and his residential and commercial resume includes some of Lawrence's most iconic new and historic buildings. He is a graduate of the KU architecture program and an invited lecturer in its design/build studio program. He has served as lead designer, general contractor, and lead fabricator on projects throughout Kansas and the US. His ability to execute pre-construction deliverables, his hands-on construction experience, and his creative and collaborative vision set him apart among builders in the American Midwest.

Cailinn holds degrees from both the University of Kansas and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, including a BA in French and a BS and SM in Mechanical Engineering. As a Tata Fellow at MIT, she developed algorithms for a software platform used to facilitate energy infrastructure planning in developing countries. Prior to joining Walnut Street, she held positions at Honeywell, Burns & McDonnell, and Good Energy Solutions. In her role as Director of Operations, Cailinn manages matters related to human resources, accounting, and special projects. When not at her desk, Cailinn is most likely to be found out running or in the garden.

Justin has over a decade of experience as an architectural designer, carpenter, fabricator, and graphic designer. His unique blend of abilities makes him an invaluable part of every project. He holds a Master’s degree in architecture from KU, and studied in France as an intern to Ateliers Jean Nouvel.

Matt Gilhousen founded Walnut Streel LLC in 2018. He is also is a founding member and owner of Tradewind Energy Inc., the leading renewable energy development firm in the US. Matt's interest in sustainable and responsible land development, and his extensive experience in real estate procurement led him to form Walnut Street LLC. His responsibilities include managing all phases of project development within the company.
